How to place cabinets, countertops and upstands in a corner with a pillar

First of all, to place a piece of furniture in a corner where there is a pillar, you can do it by positioning the furniture in the corner with the mouse, or by using the “Move” tool and shifting the furniture in the direction of the pillar, so that the pillar becomes embedded in the furniture.

Once the corner cabinet (corner “L-shaped cabinet” in our example) is placed, the cornice can be simulated using an “Add Accessory -> Legs, Shelves, Panels -> Flat panel[1]. Select this element, and modify its dimensions [2] as shown in this screenshot.

Click on “Manual Insertion“, place the accessory near the column, and finish adjusting its position using the “Move” tool (we switch to 2D floor plan view to make it easier):

Finally, we will assign the countertop material to it. Click on the “Photo -> Accessory Material” tab [1], select one of the two panels [2], and apply the same countertop material to it [3]. Repeat the process for the second panel:
